How do I create an Item?
- Go to Item: In the left menu panel, Click on the Item.
- Create Item: Click + button at bottom right side.
- Add details: Enter the details of the item
- Create Item: Clicking ‘Create Item’ will create the item in the system
How to enable alternate and Packaging units?
- mazu provides two additional units: Alternate Unit and Packaging Unit. You can enable them from Settings under the Item section. Once enabled, these options will appear during item creation.
What is the 'Conversion Factor' and 'Conversion Type'?
- These fields appear when additional units are enabled
- Conversion Factor: Is the relation between the main unit and the alternate/packaging unit, the value entered in the field justify the main quantity available in the alternate unit.
- Conversion Factor Type: This justified on which bases the conversion has done, two options are provided
- No of main unit / additional unit (alternate/packaging)
- No of additional unit(alternate/packaging) / main unit
How to enable optional fields for items?
- This option is available in the 'Item' section under Settings. Just enter the name of the optional field and choose its type. Text, Number, Yes/No, Date, or Time. The newly added fields will appear during item creation.
How to apply different filters and sorting in item listing?
- Global Filter: Search directly by entering Name, Price or HSN
- Advance filter: Here more fields are present to apply the filter.
- Quick Filter: Filter out the item as per the status, the options available are active and disabled.
- Sorting: Apply the sorting on the different parameters available, at a time only 3 parameters can be selected.
- Customization: customise the data in the listing as per need.
I have too many items, how to add them simultaneously in mazu?
- mazu provides the option to bulk import your item’s data from Excel.
- Go to Utilities: in the left menu panel, click on Utilities.
- Choose Category: select ‘Item’ to bulk import the parties.
- Download Sample: Download the sample file available, Two options are provided Excel or CSV. Enter the data to the file.
- Choose File: Click on ‘Choose File’ and update the data. You will receive the notification once the file is uploaded and the items are created.
How do I add items to my catalogue?
Go to Items → Add Item. Enter the item name, sale price, purchase price (optional, for profit tracking), tax rate, HSN code, opening stock quantity, and reorder level. You can also add an image for visual identification.
Can I add images to my items?
Yes. Add a photo while creating or editing an item.
This is especially useful for garment, jewellery, and D2C sellers, where similar products are hard to tell apart by name alone and staff need to pick the right one quickly while billing.
