Terms and Conditions
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of mazu, a GST billing and business management platform operated by BUSY Infotech Pvt. Ltd. (referred to as mazu, we, us, or our throughout this document).
By creating an account or using mazu in any way, you agree to be bound by these terms. mazu may update these terms from time to time. When it does, the revised terms take effect immediately on posting. We'll notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the platform.
2. Who can use mazu
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. By using mazu, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
If you're registering on behalf of a business, you confirm that you're duly authorised by that business to accept these terms and bind it accordingly.
3. Electronic communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional, product, and commercial communications from mazu via email, SMS, calls, or push notifications — including on numbers registered on the Do Not Call Registry. You can opt out of commercial communications at any time by using the unsubscribe option in any email or by writing to support@mazu.in.
4. Your account
4.1 How accounts work
mazu has three main entities: User, Company, and Plan.
A User holds a mazu License ID linked to a registered email address or mobile number. Each email or mobile number can be mapped to only one License ID.
Under one License ID, a User can create and manage one or more Companies. Each Company is independent and mapped to its own subscription plan. A Company can be on the Free plan or a paid plan. Paid companies can have multiple extra paid users; each Company on the Free plan includes one user by default.
Each Plan has a fixed subscription price applicable to all companies on that plan, and can be billed monthly or annually.
4.2 Keeping your account secure
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. All activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, notify us immediately at support@mazu.in.
4.3 Accurate information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and to keep it updated. If you provide false or misleading information, mazu may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice.
5. Subscription plans
5.1 Free plan
mazu's Free plan lets you create up to 100 invoices per month at no cost. It is limited to one user per Company and does not support additional paid users.
5.2 Paid plans
Paid plans (such as the Growth plan at ₹2,500 per year) unlock higher usage limits, additional features, and the ability to add extra users. Plans are available on monthly or annual billing cycles.
5.3 Extra users
Extra users can only be added to companies on a paid plan. Pricing for extra users is:
- ₹250 per month per extra user on a monthly plan
- ₹2,000 per year per extra user on an annual plan
Adding an extra user grants an additional login (email or phone) to the Company. It does not grant additional feature limits or an additional Company slot.
If a user is added mid-cycle, a pro-rated charge is applied for the remaining period. The extra user's validity is automatically aligned with the base plan's renewal date.
5.4 Changing plans
You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time, subject to the following:
- Free to Paid:
Upgrade at any time from the mazu website, web app, or mobile app. - Monthly to Annual:
The change takes effect at the end of your current monthly billing cycle. - Annual to Monthly:
The change takes effect at your next annual renewal date. - Paid to Free (downgrade):
You can cancel your paid plan and revert to Free. For annual plan cancellations, see the Refund Policy.
5.5 Plan migration and mid-plan changes
If a primary user upgrades from Free to a paid plan, all associated users migrate to the new plan duration.
If a primary user switches to a monthly subscription, all associated extra users are also moved to a monthly cycle, even if they previously had annual validity.
Adding extra users just before an upgrade will not grant them a free extended period. Plan and user validity are re-aligned and the full amount for the new cycle is charged accordingly.
6. Payments and billing
mazu supports all major payment modes, including credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and net banking. Credit cards are specifically supported to enable recurring auto-debit mandates for subscription renewals.
Your subscription amount is auto-debited from your chosen payment method on each billing date, in line with your plan cycle.
Prices shown on the platform are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. mazu reserves the right to revise pricing with reasonable advance notice.
