How do I set up my business on mazu?
Setup takes under a minute, and you can start invoicing immediately.
- Download the mazu app (Android or iOS), or open mazu on the web.
- Sign up with your phone number or email.
- Enter your business name manually, or enter your GSTIN to auto-fetch your registered business details.
Tip: You don't need to complete everything now. Logo, address, and bank details can be added later from Settings → Company.
Do I need a GST number to use mazu?
No. mazu works for both GST-registered and non-registered businesses.
Without a GSTIN, you can create non-GST invoices.
If you register for GST later, add your GSTIN in Settings → Company and all future invoices become GST-compliant automatically. Invoices already created stay unchanged.
What if I make a mistake during setup?
Nothing entered during setup is permanent. Business name, GSTIN, logo, bank details, and address can all be edited anytime from Settings.
Note: Changes apply only to documents created after the edit. Invoices already issued keep the details they were created with.
