How do I track batches and expiry dates?
Enable Batch & Expiry tracking in Item. When adding stock (via purchase bill or manually), enter the batch number and expiry date. When selling, mazu prompts you to select the batch. mazu alerts you when items are nearing expiry.
How does serial number / IMEI tracking work?
Enable Serial Number tracking in item. When adding stock, enter each serial/IMEI number individually. When creating an invoice, select the specific serial numbers being sold. This creates a complete chain from purchase to sale for every individual unit.
Can I look up which customer bought a specific serial number?
Yes. Go to the item → Serial Numbers → Search by serial/IMEI. mazu shows the purchase date, invoice number, and customer who bought that unit. Essential for warranty and return lookups.
